Hibben UMC Pumpkin Patch
Hibben United Methodist Church, 690 Coleman Blvd., spreads pumpkins across its front lawn through Oct. 31, a fundraiser it has run since 2001. The patch is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, the church says. The pumpkins are grown on Navajo land in New Mexico and supplied on consignment; about 60% of the profit goes back to the growers and the rest to the church, which says it is one of its biggest fundraisers of the year. More than 100 members volunteer to unload and sell them. Call the church office at 843-884-9761 with questions.
