The 39th annual Children’s Day Festival was Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, from noon to 5 p.m. at Park West Recreation Complex, 1251 Park West Blvd. The Town of Mount Pleasant runs it, Harris Teeter presents it, and the town says admission and all activities are free: carnival rides, inflatable slides, pony rides, games and a stage show.

The town points families to free parking near the park:

Free shuttles run throughout the event. From Cario you can also skip the bus and use the cut-through next to the Cario gym, which the town calls “a nice short walk.”

What to know before you go

  • It is the third Sunday in October every year. The town’s special events page lists it that way, so 2027 should fall on the same Sunday of the month.
  • Food is the only thing you pay for. Rides, pony rides and games are free.
