How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Mount Pleasant, the same data behind our local directory, tagged for burgers and checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 16, 2026. We added Sesame Burgers and Beer, whose own site gives its Mount Pleasant address. H&R Sweet Shop has no website; a 2026 record in the SC Food Grades database confirms it is operating. Fast-food chains with drive-thrus are not on this list. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? The places

Come Back Shack is a burger restaurant with locations in Boone, North Carolina, North Charleston and Mount Pleasant. The Bowman Road restaurant has a dining room and a drive-thru, both open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day, and it closes on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It now caters, with burger sliders, a build-your-own burger bar, chicken tenders, sides and gallons of tea and lemonade.

Five Guys is the burger chain’s restaurant on Highway 17 North, offering delivery, takeout and dine-in. Its location page says its burgers are hand-formed and fresh, never frozen, and that its milkshakes are hand-spun. The menu also has fries, hot dogs and sandwiches.

H&R Sweet Shop is a small shop on Royall Avenue in the Old Village that our directory data lists for burgers and ice cream. It has no website, so we cannot give its hours or menu; a Jan. 29, 2026, state inspection record confirms it is operating.

Sesame Burgers and Beer describes its menu as gourmet, vegan and vegetarian and says it aims to be local and sustainable, recycling glass, plastic and cardboard and using biodegradable to-go ware. It has a second location at Park Circle in North Charleston. Happy hour runs 4 to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and all day Wednesday, and the restaurant posts daily specials for each location.
