Outdoor dining in Mount Pleasant centers on Shem Creek, where Red’s Ice House, Saltwater Cowboys and Tavern & Table sit a short walk apart on the water off Church and Mill streets. Coleman Boulevard and the Old Village have patios at breakfast places and coffee shops, and Wando River Grill sits on the Wando River in the north end.

Dog & Duck, Belle Hall is a family-owned pub whose site invites guests to bring their dogs and post photos of them on its patio. Happy hour runs 4 to 7 p.m. every day.

Red’s Ice House is a seafood and cold-beer spot on historic Shem Creek, where its site says guests can take in Lowcountry wildlife and sunsets.
Saltwater Cowboys has been on Shem Creek since 2017 and has a waterfront bar and dog-friendly spaces, with seafood, slow-smoked barbecue and live music.
Summit Coffee in the Old Village has picnic tables with umbrellas outside, and dogs are welcome on the patio but not indoors.
Tavern & Table on Shem Creek has an indoor bar and a waterfront bar. Sunday brunch runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the kitchen closes an hour before the restaurant.
