Easter Sunday is March 28, 2027, the day before Charleston County School District’s spring break, which runs Monday, March 29, to Friday, April 2. The Town of Mount Pleasant does not run an Easter egg hunt: none appears on its list of annual events. Egg hunts in town are held by churches, neighborhoods and businesses, and we list each one here when the organizer posts it.

No organizer had posted a 2027 egg hunt in Mount Pleasant as of Oct. 16, 2026. What we found for 2026:

  • Mount Pleasant/Charleston KOA held an Easter weekend for 2026, April 3-5, with an egg hunt through the campground and photos with the Easter Bunny, according to its event page. It has not posted 2027 plans.

What is open on Easter weekend

  • Boone Hall Plantation, 1235 Long Point Road: open noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Its FAQ lists Thanksgiving and Christmas Day as its only regular closings.
  • Patriots Point, 40 Patriots Point Road: open daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to its visitor page.
  • Palmetto Islands County Park: 8 a.m. to sunset from January to April.
  • Trash: Easter Sunday is not a collection day. The town’s 2027 calendar was not out as of Oct. 16; on its 2026 calendar, Good Friday was a holiday with Town Hall closed and no garbage or trash collection. Good Friday 2027 is March 26. Call 843-849-2022 to confirm.
